TLS sells livestock feed, show feeds, pet feeds, horse feeds, animal health products and livestock equipment associated with the responsibility of raising and caring for animals.

CREEP FEEDING PROGRAM

Creep feeding is a great way to start your calves off right.

Creep feeding is one management tool that can help calves grow more muscle and bone (not fat), contributing to higher weaning weights. Producers who want to give their calves this extra boost simply provide extra feed that helps calves grow. Older calves or cows don’t need the extra nutrition, so keep them from eating the creep feeding ration by using special feed units or buildings that only the young calves can access.

Call or come in to your local Southern FS for expert advice on seeding recommendations and rates. We have the forage species you are looking for. When selecting a forage species, or several species for use in a seed mixture, first consider their appropriateness for the intended use (pasture, hay, etc.) and for the expected time spent on the site.
